AUSTIN, TX --The Tennessee State Lady Tigers fell 6-5 in an eight-inning matchup to the Princeton Tigers Sunday.
Sophomore Caitlyn Manus (7-7) took the loss in the circle for Tennessee State (9-10). The right-hander went 5.2 innings, giving up two runs, zero earned, on five hits, allowing no walks and striking out two.
Offensively, the Lady Tigers were paced by sophomore Ryla Traylor, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double, a walk and an RBI. Junior Laila Armstrong furnished a standout day at the dish as well, going 3-for-4. Freshman Onnika Spencer also contributed for Tennessee State, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a walk and an RBI.
