NASHVILLE - In a remarkable display of academic achievement, Tennessee State University athletics proudly celebrated the graduation of 27 student-athletes who received their college degrees on Saturday, May 6 at Hale Stadium. These accomplished individuals not only excelled in their respective sports but also demonstrated exceptional commitment to their education.
 
Among the graduating student-athletes, an impressive 14 achieved impressive grade point averages of 3.5 or higher. Their unwavering dedication to academic excellence exemplifies the importance TSU places on holistic development.
 
Even more noteworthy, two of these exceptional individuals achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout their academic journey at TSU. Their relentless pursuit of knowledge, coupled with their athletic prowess, showcases the remarkable balance they maintained between their sporting commitments and scholarly pursuits.
 
"These 27 student-athletes are a testament to the values we uphold here at Tennessee State University," stated Kenita Stokes, Associate AD for Academic Services at TSU. "Their success on and off the field exemplifies the commitment and resilience they embody as representatives of our institution.
