Men's Basketball Set to Host EIU on Thursday

OPENING TIP: The Tennessee State men's basketball team will play its final home Thursday game of the season as Eastern Illinois is set to travel to Nashville for a 7:30 p.m. tip inside the Gentry Center.

SERIES INFORMATION: This will be the 63rd meeting between TSU and EIU. TSU leads the all-time series 36-26. The Tigers picked up a 64-60 road win over the Panthers earlier this season, as Christian Brown led the way with 17 points.

WIU NOTES & NUMBERS:
 
20 PIECE: Marcus Fitzgerald Jr. had his highest-scoring game of the season against Western Illinois as he finished with a team-high 20 points. The fourth-year Tiger and Nashville native finished 7-of-13 from the floor while logging 32 minutes.   
 
LET THE BIG MAN EAT: Jason Jitoboh played a season-high and team-high 34 minutes against WIU. The big man finished with 13 points and four boards. His four rebounds against the Leathernecks give him 100 for the year.  
 
OVC DEFENSIVE RANKS: The Tigers have two players that stand out when it comes to individual defensive categories amongst OVC players. Jason Jitoboh leads the league in blocks with 58 and in blocks per game (2.9). Kinyon Hodges is second in the OVC in steals with 46.
