MOREHEAD, KY — Tennessee State showed grit on the road Tuesday evening but came up short against a strong Morehead State squad, falling in three sets (13-25, 12-25, 18-25) at Johnson Arena.
Senior setter Sagaia Reilly continued to showcase her all-around ability, leading the Tigers with five kills while also recording 10 assists. Freshman libero Eirini Bitsaktsi anchored the defense with eight digs and added an ace, maintaining her role as one of the OVC's most active back-row defenders.
Despite the final score, TSU showed fight in the third frame—trading points early and closing the gap late behind improved offensive rhythm and steady serving. Head coach Donika Sutton highlighted her team's continued progress in developing chemistry and confidence as the Tigers prepare for the back half of conference play.
