NASHVILLE - The Tennessee State volleyball team continues its road stretch with a weekend trip to Macomb, Illinois, to take on Western Illinois. The Tigers and Leathernecks will meet on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. inside Western Hall.
The Tigers (1-22, 0-10 OVC) aim to regroup following their midweek matchup at Morehead State. TSU continues to rely on its combination of youthful energy and veteran leadership as it pushes through conference play. Freshman Aliyah Harris remains the offensive catalyst, leading the Tigers with 117 kills on the season. Senior Sagaia Reilly continues to guide the offense with 373 assists and a team-best 20 service aces.
Defensively, freshman Eirini Bitsaktsi has been a key contributor in the back row, while senior Maygan Miller-Garcia and junior Brie Blevins anchor the front line with consistent blocking presence.
Western Illinois (6-14, 3-7 OVC) enters the weekend after a competitive outing against Lindenwood. The Leathernecks lead the all-time series 3-1, with Tennessee State earning its lone win in 2022.
