NASHVILLE – Tennessee State volleyball returns home to Kean Hall this weekend for a two-match Ohio Valley Conference series against Southeast Missouri. The Tigers host the Redhawks on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m.
The Tigers (1-24, 0-12 OVC) come off a hard-fought weekend at Western Illinois, where they pushed the Leathernecks to five sets on Friday and showed consistent improvement throughout Saturday's contest. TSU's offense has begun to find rhythm behind senior setter Sagaia Reilly, who continues to pace the attack with steady distribution and leadership on the court.
Freshman I'Onna Jones has emerged as a key spark in the rotation, while Maygan Miller-Garcia remains one of the conference's most efficient hitters, coming off a .417 performance in Saturday's matchup. Aliyah Harris and Julia Culpepper continue to provide scoring options from the pins, and Erini Bitsaktsi leads the back-row defense with consistent double-digit dig outings.
Southeast Missouri (8-14, 5-7 OVC) enters the weekend looking to solidify its place in the OVC standings, coming off a split against Little Rock. The Redhawks are led by outside hitter Laney Malloy, who ranks among the league leaders in kills per set, and setter Kennedy Adair, who has anchored SEMO's offense all season.
