BOWLING GREEN, Ky. —The Tennessee State men's basketball team kept Western Kentucky to just 13.3 percent from beyond the arc in a 2-for-15 shooting performance, but fell 95-82 to the Hilltoppers on the road Sunday.

The Tigers (2-2) had three players score in double figures, led by Aaron Nkrumah, who had 22 points and nine rebounds. Travis Harper II tacked on 18 points and Dante Harris helped out with 15 points and seven assists.

The Tennessee State offense made hay from three-point land, knocking down nine threes on 24 attempts. Harper II hit three treys for the Tigers in the contest.

How It Happened

After falling behind 19-14, Tennessee State went on a 5-0 run with 11:05 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Nkrumah, to tie the game at 19. Western Kentucky then pulled ahead, sending the Tigers into halftime down 51-43.

Western Kentucky kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing an 87-65 advantage before Tennessee State went on a 7-0 run, finished off by Jc Brooks' three, to shrink the deficit to 87-72 with 4:35 to go in the contest. The Tigers kept their comeback going, but Western Kentucky managed to hold on for the 95-82 win.
