Tennessee State will host Alabama A&M on Saturday at Nissan Stadium in the inaugural Legacy Series. Both teams enter Week 3 with a 1-1 record, as the Tigers look to bounce back from a loss to No. 1 North Dakota State, while the Bulldogs come in on the heels of a win over Alcorn State in the Louis Crews Classic. The matchup marks the first of four games in the series, which will feature home-and-home meetings through 2028.

Dean Cokinos will also serve as an analyst throughout the season.
TSU AGAINST ALABAMA A&M:Â Tennessee State leads the all-time series 21-8, outscoring Alabama A&M 635-397. The Tigers have been dominant in games decided by 20 points or more, winning 14 of 16 contests by that margin, while they have struggled in tighter games, going 0-2 in matchups decided by six points or less and 0-2 in games decided by 7-9 points. In games decided by 10-13 points, TSU has gone 3-1, and in contests decided by 14-19 points, the Tigers are 4-2. The longest winning streak in the series belongs to TSU with three consecutive wins from 1998 to 2001, and the current streak stands at one win. Over the last 10 meetings, Alabama A&M has won six games to TSU's four. TSU's largest win in the series came in 2004 with a 42-7 triumph at Nissan Stadium during the John A. Merritt Classic, while the biggest loss was a 49-23 defeat in 2007, also at Nissan. The highest attended game at Nissan Stadium was on Sept. 3, 2005, with 25,342 fans in attendance. Overall, the series has featured a mix of blowouts and competitive matchups, with Tennessee State historically dominating at home in Nashville and posting key victories on the road in Huntsville.

4: The Tigers recorded four first downs against North Dakota State. On the season, TSU is averaging 13.5 first downs per game.
8: Punter Mark Shenouda booted eight punts for an average of 42.4 yards, including a 52-yarder. Through two games, Shenouda is averaging 43.8 yards per punt.
16: Wide receiver Tyson Edwards hauled in a 16-yard catch, TSU's longest reception of the day. Edwards has recorded a reception in each of the first two games this season.
42: TSU totaled 42 yards on kickoff returns, highlighted by Lelan Wilhoite's season-long 24-yard return.
31: Zack Simmons-Brown's 31-yard rush in the third quarter marked the Tigers' longest offensive play of the afternoon and his longest career run.
45: Freddy Perez connected on a 45-yard field goal in the fourth quarter for TSU's lone points. The senior has now hit from 40+ yards in back-to-back games after making a 42-yarder in the season opener.
53: Kendric Rhymes finished with a team-best 53 all-purpose yards (43 rushing, 10 receiving). Rhymes has now led TSU in total yards from scrimmage in both games this season.
61: Three different Tiger quarterbacks combined for 61 passing yards on 8 completions. Tennessee State has now completed passes to nine different receivers across the first two contests.Â
70: TSU posted 70 net rushing yards against the Bison. Through two games, the Tigers are averaging 134.5 rushing yards per contest.
