Opening Drive

Tennessee State returns to the road for an Ohio Valley Conference matchup against Lindenwood on Saturday at Harlen C. Hunter Stadium. The Tigers enter at 2-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play following a 20-7 loss to Charleston Southern. TSU's defense held the Buccaneers to 67 rushing yards, prevented a rushing touchdown and forced four fumbles, but three offensive turnovers led to 13 Charleston Southern points.

Quarterback Byron McNair directed Tennessee State's scoring possession, completing a 12-play, 71-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Cam Bulluck during the fourth quarter. Bulluck has caught a touchdown pass in four consecutive games and has accounted for all seven of his receiving touchdowns during that stretch.

Tennessee State will seek its first conference victory and its second consecutive win at Hunter Stadium. The Tigers rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat Lindenwood 24-20 during their only previous visit to St. Charles in 2024. Lindenwood enters at 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the OVC after consecutive victories over Eastern Illinois and Chicago State. The Lions established season highs in points and total offense during a 44-9 victory over Chicago State.
