Committed to Purdue as a four-star recruit out of Miami, Fla., ranked No. 87 in the ESPN 100… tabbed the sixth-best center in his recruiting class, according to 247Sports… had interest from Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Miami (Fla.) and others… sat out half of his senior year after he began high school classes in Ghana… averaged 19 points, 14 rebounds and four block shots during his shortened senior season… had only played basketball for about four years prior to college, as his first love was soccer… led Westwood Christian to a district title after averaging 13 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game as a junior.
