Jeremy Taylor moved back into an equipment role prior to the 2023-24 athletic year as he was named the Director of Equipment after serving in a facilities and athletics events management role at Tennessee State University during the 2022-23. In this role, Taylor serves as the lead athletics facilities liaison to Tennessee State University Facilities Management, Project Management, Grounds, Sanitation, and Housekeeping. 

When he started at TSU in the summer of 2011, Taylor was named equipment manager at Tennessee State University. Taylor’s duties included managing purchases and maintaining logs.
 
After spending three years at Northwestern State (La.), he joins the staff. Before he arrived at NSU in the summer of 2008, Taylor served as head equipment manager from 2005-2007 at Jacksonville State. While working on his undergraduate degree, Taylor worked as a student manager at Jacksonville State from 2001-2004.
 
He was also a student manager at Snead State Community College from 1998-2001 while working on his associate's degree. During that time, Taylor also served as a volunteer coach at his alma mater, Collinsville (Ala.) High School, working beside his father coaching girls’ basketball, and assisting on the softball diamond.
 
Outside of athletics, Taylor served as a Communications Officer and Jailor for the Collinsville (Ala.) Police Department and a volunteer firefighter for the city. In addition, he also worked in the same capacity at the Black Creek Fire Department.
 
Taylor has achieved certifications in Basic First Aid; CPR/AED; AirEvac and MedFlight Landing Zone Operations; National Incident Management Systems; and HAZMAT Emergency Operations.
 
Taylor has been a member of the American Equipment Managers Association since 2004, AEMA Certified in 2006 and recertified in 2009. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history and minors in both physical education and recreational management from Jacksonville State in 2005.

Taylor has one son, Grady.
