2023: Named the 2023 Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Year, Allen recorded one of the best individual seasons by a Tiger defensive lineman in TSU history…finished season with 65 tackles (44 solo, 21 assists)…led the FCS in both sacks (14.5) and tackles for loss (28)…forced five fumbles, recovered one and tallied 10 QB hurries…his 28 TFLs set a new TSU single-season record…had a four-game span of recording 4.0+ TFLs…totaled 10 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks and 2.0 forced fumbles against Lindenwood (10/28)…his 6.5 TFLs set a new TSU single-game record…logged eight tackles, 2.0 TFLs, a sack and a forced fumble against Kennesaw (10/7)…made seven stops, 4.0 TFLs and 2.0 sacks in the homecoming win over Norfolk (10/14)…finished with seven tackles, 4.0 for loss and 4.0 sacks against Lincoln the following week (10/21)…recorded seven tackles, 4.0 TFLs and one sack at Charleston Southern (11/4).
2022: Played and started in 10 games for the Tigers in his first season as a transfer...became an instant force for on the defensive line....fitting in seamlessly with the defensive scheme Allen racked 36 tackles on the year, 20 solo, 16 assists, 12.0 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks....finished with seven quarterback hurries and two pass breakups....best game of the season against conference co-champion UT Martin (11/12) where he showcased 9 tackles, 7 solo, 4.5 TFL's, and a sack....tallied six tackles, 3.0 TFL's and 2.0 sacks against Eastern Illinois (10/22).
FALL 2021 (AUSTIN PEAY): A HERO Sports Sophomore All-American and Second Team All-OVC selection… Played in all 11 games, starting in all but one contest… Kicked off the season with four tackles and half a tackle for loss against Chattanooga off the bench… Wreaked havoc in home opener against Morehead State (Sept. 18), tallying four tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and three quarterback hurries… Followed up the performance against the Eagles with another strong outing against Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 25) where he tallied four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack…Had a season-high five tackles against Tennessee State (Oct. 2)… Had four tackles and strip-sack fumble against UT Martin (Oct. 30)… Enjoyed season’s best outing with 2.5 sacks and a pair of hurries against Eastern Illinois (Nov. 6)… Finished the season tied for an OVC-best 11 tackles for loss… Led the Governors and finished third in the OVC with five sacks… Tied for second in the OVC with two forced fumbles… Finished the season with the most tackles by a defensive lineman on the team with 36.
SPRING 2021 (AUSTIN PEAY): Appeared in eight games during the season and started at defensive end in the Govs’ final three OVC matchups of the spring… Recorded his first career tackle and recovered a fumble against Cincinnati (Sept. 19)... Assisted on four tackles and shared his first-career sack against UT Martin (March 21)... Totaled a career-high five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Murray State (April 3) in the regular-season finale… Finished the season with 18 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.
PERSONAL: Terrell Anthony Allen is the son of Amanda Lee … has two siblings.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at North Little Rock High School, which reached the state championship game each year of his career, winning the Arkansas State Championship in 2017… Named to Arkansas High School Activities Association’s 7A Central All-State Team… Recorded 72 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 14 sacks in his senior season.
