Voted as the OVC's Freshman of the Year by the league's head
coaches and sports information directors...Finished third in the OVC
scoring race, averaging 17.6 points a game...Second overall with his
2.63 average of 3-point field goals made per game...Reached the
30-point scoring plateau, scoring a career-high 38 points in OVC
opening win in 40 minutes of action...Also tallied 31 points in road
victory at Tennessee-Martin...Missed the one game, at Wyoming due to
illness, but came back two nights later to tally 29 points against Big
12 Conference member Colorado...The Colorado game was the only one that
he played in and did not start...Tallied in double figures in 21-of -27
games played, including 14-of-16 OVC games...Had a season-high 11

Averaged a team-high 13.7 points per game as a sophomore...One
of the top defensive players in the OVC, ranked fourth in the OVC in
steals (1.9 spg)...Also eighth in assists (3.4 apg), and 10th in
3-point average (1.9)...Posted 22 double figure scoring games last
season, giving him a total of 44 in his two-year career...Tallied a
season-high 30 points in double overtime win over Southeast
Missouri...Tallied 26 points and had a season-high eighth rebounds
against Southeastern Conference member Alabama...Scored 24 points in
game at eventual Final Four participant Louisville...Handed out eighth
assists in OVC-opening win at Jacksonville State...Season-high six
steals came in home win over Eastern Illinois....Started 28 games.
2005-06
Suffered season-ending ACL injury in sixth game of the year at Ohio State, was averaging 19.7 points at the time.
2006-07
Re-injured same ACL in pick-up game prior to start of season ... missed season.
Bruce enters his third season as the most experienced player on the team, starting 53 of 58 games...One of the top players in the Ohio Valley Conference, will look for consistency in his play...Leadership and experience will be a key...Plays both the point and second guards...Has worked hard in the off season to rehabiltate his knee injury.
