For the 2023-24 season, Brandon Lockridge will be entering his second season as the director of basketball operations. This marks his second stint as a member of the TSU men's basketball coaching staff.
Lockridge is familiar with the Gentry Center, having previously served in the same role under former head coach Cy Alexander during the 2007-08 season. Prior to that, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant video coordinator.
During his playing career, Lockridge showcased his skills as a team co-captain during his senior season and gained recognition as one of the top 3-point shooters in the OVC (Ohio Valley Conference). He concluded his collegiate journey ranked 10th in the TSU record books with 116 made 3-point field goals. Notably, he had a standout performance as a junior, scoring 18 points in 24 minutes and sinking 6-of-9 shots from downtown in a game against Ohio State. His junior season also saw him finish seventh in the OVC in 3-point shooting.
Lockridge embarked on his coaching career in 2014, joining Coach Collins' staff at Columbia State. Together, they led the Chargers to consecutive appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament, including an Elite Eight run in 2014 and a Sweet 16 appearance along with a Region 7 Championship in 2015.
After his time at Columbia State, Lockridge undertook the task of revitalizing the Nimitz High School program, where he successfully guided the Cougars to a 20-win season and their first playoff victory in 11 years.
In 2005, Lockridge earned his degree in interdisciplinary studies.
