Jake Trondson joined the TSU men's coaching staff in the fall of 2023.

Trondson joins the staff after spending time at Lipscomb in the same role. 

He played collegiately at the University of New Mexico where he saw an impressive senior season for the Lobos. He quickly made an impact on the program with an 8-7 singles record and a 10-8 doubles record.

The St. Paul, Minnesota native played in the No. 1 doubles pairing for the Lobos' spring season, earning three wins including back-to-back wins against Michigan State and Drake. He also secured a win in his first spring singles match for New Mexico against Michigan State's Andrew Keene at the No. 6 position in a 2-0 win to help the Lobos to a 4-0 sweep of the Spartans.

Prior to transferring to New Mexico, Trondson played for the Hamline University Pipers. Whilst there, he picked up MIAC All-Conference honors in singles and doubles play for the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
