John Trondson was hired as an assistant coach in the fall of 2022. Trondson brings over 40 years of playing and coaching experience to TSU.
He was a high school All-American at Mounds View High School in St. Paul, followed by an All-Conference playing career at Middle Tennessee State. Trondson won several USTA Championships as an adult.
John brings a passion for working with young adults in maximizing their tennis level and most importantly helping them become productive, goal-oriented successful people.
He has been married to his wife Laura for 27 years. John has four children and a dog prim. His son Jake played tennis at the University of New Mexico, while his daughter Taylor is currently playing tennis at Belmont. John and his family moved back to the Middle Tennessee area three years ago.
