Elantra Cox

Elantra Cox enters her 3rd year coaching on the collegiate level. Cox began her coaching career at Bethel University as an assistant coach. The team had a winning season of 26-24 with victories over every team in SSAC conference except Willam Carey. Following Bethel, she went on to coach at Blue Mountain College, however, the season was shortened due to COVID.

Cox is a native of Henderson, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and helped guide the Rebels to a 2017 SEC Championship. The former outfielder holds six offensive records at Ole Miss, becoming the all-time leader in batting average, hits, runs and stolen bases. She remains the first three-time all-region honoree in Ole Miss history. In 2018, she became the first Rebel to be tabbed to the USA Softball Top-50 Player of the Year watch-list. In 2017, she earned NFCA All-South Region First Team honors as she set the Ole Miss single-season hits record and led the NCAA with 93 hits.

Cox showcased her talent at the 2017 USA Tryout and was selected as the eighth-overall pick in the inaugural American Softball Association Draft. The first round pick went on to lead the league in hits, stolen bases, triples, and batting average and was selected to the first-team All-ASBA.
