Scott Wallace

Scott Wallace is entering his second season as the Communications Coordinator for volleyball, softball, cross country, track and field, and golf. Wallace is a veteran of the Nashville sports scene with stints as the Sports Information Director at Fisk University for seven seasons. He also worked at Columbia State Community College with Tiger head basketball coach Brian “Penny” Collins as the Director of Communications for basketball.

In his role at TSU, Wallace has worked as the public address announcer for basketball, softball, and volleyball. He also is efficient in electronic stats, scoreboard operation, and sports writing.

Wallace has been the Metro Sports Editor for the Tennessee Tribune and the Tennessee Star. On the high school level, he has worked with East Nashville Magnet, Maplewood High School, Whites Creek High School, Stratford High School, and Martin Luther King Magnet.

After leaving high school, Wallace joined the Navy, where he retired. Wallace earned a degree in communications from the International School of Hospitality, First Baptist Seminary, and received a certificate of completion from the Indiana Foreign Language Institute in Conversational Spanish.

Wallace, a native of Gary, Indiana, is married to Nashville native Harriet Vaughan-Wallace, a local news reporter. He and his wife own Wallace Media Group.
