Tennessee State University

Michael Lockhart joined the Tennessee State University track and field staff after gaining valuable collegiate coaching experience at East Tennessee State University. He assists with the development of student-athletes while supporting daily training operations, recruiting, and competition preparation for the Tigers.

Prior to arriving at TSU, Lockhart served as an assistant track and field coach at East Tennessee State University from 2015 to 2021. During his tenure, he helped guide student-athletes through technical development, strength programming, and competition strategy while contributing to the program’s overall growth and competitive success.

Lockhart earned his bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in 2013.

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Lockhart is married and the father of two children.
