Vicmari Cockrill

Vicmari Cockrill is entering her 11th season on the Tennessee State University volleyball coaching staff after returning to TSU in 2022. After serving as a graduate assistant for the Tigers in 2011 and 2012, Cockrill was elevated to assistant coach prior to the 2013 season, and served in that position for seven seasons.

Cockrill joined the TSU coaching staff at her alma mater in August of 2011 after a stellar playing career for the Tigers. 

Cockrill competed two years for the Tennessee State volleyball team. During her career with the Tigers, she led the team in hitting percentage in 2010 and 2011. As a senior, she finished the season hitting .317, second-best in the OVC. She tallied 228 kills, ranking third on the team, averaging 2.1 kills per set.

Cockrill is a native of Santurce, Puerto Rico. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Human Performance and Sports Sciences in May 2011.Cockrill completed her master's degree of Arts in Education with a Major of Human Performance and Sports Science with a concentration in Sports Administration in 2013.
