As a Senior
Played in 18 games, starting 17… finished 12-for-41, batting .293, with one run, a triple and eight RBI… earned nine walks, was hit by a pitch, recorded a sacrifice and a sacrifice fly… defensively, registered 18 putouts with two assists and three errors for an .870 fielding percentage… went 1-for-1 with a walk versus Alcorn State (2/8)… finished 2-for-3 versus ASU (2/9)… earned two walks and a sacrifice at North Alabama (2/9)… went 2-for-5 with two runs batted in, including the game winner versus Tulsa (2/15)… was 1-for-1 with two walks, a run scored, a sac fly and three RBI versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2/29)… collected a season high three hits with a triple in four at bats and two RBI at Mississippi Valley State (3/1)
As a Junior
Played in 23 games, starting 10 games as the designated player, three at first base and three behind the plate… batted .226, going 12-for-53 with a double, a home run, six walks and seven RBI… reached base in 11 consecutive games to open the season from Feb. 8-Mar. 9… went 10-for-32 with five walks and a hit by pitch during the stretch for a .313 batting average and a .410 on base percentage… finished 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run versus No. 18 Auburn (2/8)… was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in versus Alabama State (3/9)… season was cut short due to injury
Memphis - 2018
Saw action in 14 games, starting six of them … used primarily as a pinch hitter early in the year, she hit an RBI double against Alcorn State … starting games in the latter portion of the conference schedule, hit a home run to left center against Tulsa, her only homer of the season … ended the season hitting .238 on 21 at bats... was a member of the Spring 2018 Tiger 3.0 Club and the Dean's List
Memphis 2017
Appeared in 31 games, starting in 15 for the Tigers … was third on the team in walks drawn at 15 … walked a season-high three times against Belmont … had eight hits on the season, bringing in seven RBI … was one of five Tigers to hit a home run, blasting one against Tennessee State on March 5... was a member of the Fall 2017 Tiger 3.0 Club and the Dean's List
at Creekwood HS
Attended Creek Wood High School where she holds the home run record while being named the all-district offensive most valuable player in 2013… a multi-sport athlete, Melton played basketball and volleyball in addition to softball… her sophomore and junior softball teams won the district championships while her first three basketball teams were district champions… in 2014, her softball team advanced to the state championship game… played club ball for the Tennessee Elite ’98 team, coached by Roger Herrold… her club team won state championships for three years in ASA play (12U, 14U, and 16U)
