    Coaching Intern (Offensive Line)
The Tigers in conjunction with “Soldiers to Sidelines", a non-profit veteran organization focused on transitioning veterans into coaching, have partnered to create the "Tiger Football Soldiers to Sidelines Coaching Internship".  Leo served as a 68W (Combat Medic) in the United States Army, stationed in Landstuhl, Germany. While serving overseas he had the privilege of serving as the Offensive Coordinator for the Kaiserslautern Pikes of the Regionalliga (German Football League), where he was part of transforming the leagues lowest scoring offense into the league’s highest scoring offense.

Following his military service, Rumbaugh transitioned to collegiate coaching at Union College in Kentucky. Over the course of four years at Union, he oversaw the Tight Ends, Linebackers, and Offensive Line.  Under his direction, Union's offense achieved significant accomplishments, breaking both school and conference records. He had the opportunity to mentor and develop multiple All-Conference players, and was promoted to Recruiting Coordinator.

In 2020, he assumed the position of Head Coach for the Knoxville Knightmare of the Adult Developmental Arena Football League (ADAFL). During his tenure, the team successfully defended its league championship title for three consecutive seasons, amassing a remarkable 30-2 record.

Leo played Collegiately at Mount Senario College and Rocky Mountain College,   and later added a Bachelor of Science Degree from Union College KY. Rumbaugh is married to Dawn Rumbaugh and they have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He is an East Tennessee Native and a  graduate from Seymour H.S.
