CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State Tiger volleyball (6-16, 2-7 OVC) travelled the short distance to Clarksville, Tenn. to compete against conference leading Austin Peay (21-4, 9-1 OVC). The Tigers fell in four sets (25-13, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17).

First Set: Austin Peay had first serve and took the first two points. Maya Evans broke up the drag with a kill to the middle of the court. Katora Roberts also put down a kill to put the Tigers only two behind the Governors. In the almost silent Dunn Center, APSU took the lead going on a 5-0 run. TSU hit a .143 with 10 digs and one block. Megan Evans made her first start as a Tiger and facilitated the offense with six assists in set one. Austin Peay won the set 25-13.
Second Set: APSU came out with four straight points in set two. Samantha Beltran recorded two and Megan Evans had one, but a .024 hitting percentage did not help Big Blue overcome the Governor's 27 digs and one block. APSU won the second set 25-18.
Third Set: Tigers took the first point of set three with a push to the back corner by Maya Evans. With a renewed energy and fire in their eyes, Big Blue came to play in set three hitting an amazing .424, serving four aces and posting two blocks and 16 digs. Katora Roberts recorded 9 kills leading the Tigers to a 25-22 score, forcing a fourth set.
Fourth Set: Tigers were looking to copy set three and took the first point with a block by Samantha Beltran and Maya Evans. Momentum from the Tigers was up, but APSU's hitters were there to close the match, posting a .275. TSU hit a .114, posted two blocks and 17 digs. The Governors won the set 25-17.

- Tigers are now 2-7 in OVC play.
