Game Recap: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL |

Women's Basketball Falls to SEMO on the Road

FINAL BOX

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State University women's basketball team dropped an, 83-54, decision to Southeast Missouri Saturday afternoon in the Show Me Center.

Tennessee State (2-12, 0-4 OVC) struggled to get into a rhythm against Southeast Missouri (10-5, 2-2 OVC) and fell behind early. TSU had a solid outing in the second quarter as well as the fourth but the inconsistencies in the first and third frames mounted up and led to a deficit TSU was not able to come back from.

Jazmine Young led TSU in scoring with 15 points while Taylor Roberts finished with 10 points. They were the only Lady Tigers to reach double-digits.

Tennessee State only shot 26.1 percent (12-of-46) from the field and lost the battle of the boards, 48-28. The Lady Tigers knocked down 25-of-31 free-throws in the contest.
