Women's Basketball OVC Predicted Order of Finish Released

NASHVILLE --- In a poll voted on by the Ohio Valley Conference head coaches and communications directors, the Tennessee State women's basketball team was predicted to finish the 2020-21 season in 12th place.

The league office announced the preseason poll Friday morning.

Head Coach Ty Evans begins his first season at the helm of the Lady Tiger program when the 2020-21 campaign kicks off on Nov. 25.

Tennessee State returns three starters and seven letter winners from last season including senior leaders Taylor Roberts and Jaden Wrightsell.

Roberts scored 11.9 points per game while shooting 87.3 percent from the free-throw line last season. Wrightsell elevated her game as a junior and finished the season averaging 10.4 points per game, 7.9 rebound per game and an OVC best 2.4 steals per outing.

The Lady Tigers added seven newcomers to the roster.
