THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State is looking for its first win of the season on Monday. The Lady Tigers are coming off an 84-50 loss to Southeast Missouri on the road Saturday afternoon. The setback moved TSU to 0-4, 0-2 OVC.

The TSU seniors have been the early leaders for the squad. Taylor Roberts is leading the team in scoring with 17.7 ppg while Andreana Wrister is turning in 15.0 ppg. Jaden Wrightsell is almost averaging a double-double with 10.0 ppg and 8.8 rpg.

The Lady Tigers are 7th in the OVC in steals (8.3 spg) and 6th in offensive rebounds (13.0 rpg). TSU returned six letterwinners from last season and added seven newcomers to the roster.

The Lady Tigers are led by first year head coach Ty Evans.

LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee State had a solid start but stumbled in the second period and fell behind by as many as 26 points against Southeast Missouri. TSU outscored SEMO 18-17 in the third quarter but continued fourth quarter struggles prevented comeback. Andreana Wrister and Breannah McCullah led TSU with 11 points each while Jaden Wrightsell had seven rebounds, nine points, four assists and four steals.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Austin Peay is 4-2 and 2-0 in the OVC with wins over Murray State and EKU. The Govs have won two straight. APSU also has wins over North Alabama and Trevecca. The Govs were picked to finish 9th in the Ohio Valley Conference and average 71.5 ppg.

LAST TIME THEY MET
TSU dropped an 87-55 decision to Austin Peay in the Gentry Center. TSU only trailed 21-14 after the opening quarter but after a dismal second period in which the Lady Tigers were outscored, 28-6, the game became an uphill battle. TSU nearly matched APSU point-for-point (38-35) in the second half but the deficit was too much to overcome.
