NASHVILLE --- In what was a competitive game through  the first three quarters, the Tennessee State University women's basketball team fell to Austin Peay, 62-37, Monday night in Gentry Center.Â
The game featured five lead changes and TSU only trailed by three points at halftime. The Lady Tigers kept the game within striking distance until the contest got away from them in the fourth period.Â
Andreana Wrister led TSU with 16 points while
Jaden Wrightsell registered a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With about five and half minutes ticked off the clock, the teams played to a 5-5 tie.Â
- TSU grabbed a slight lead following a steal and break-away layup by Andreana Wrister but APSU answered on the next play to even the score again.Â
- Four free-throws from Wrister with less than 30 seconds on the clock, gave TSU a 16-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.Â
- In the second period, TSU got on the board when Jaden Wrighsell found a streaking Wrister running down the court.Â
- The Lady Tigers managed to build an 18-12 lead but the Governors answered with an 11-1 run to capture the advantage, 23-19.Â
- TSU's scoring drought continued until Aniyah Bailey scored in the paint for the team's first points in four minutes.
- On the next play, Wrister drained a three-pointer from the top of the key to pull TSU to within one but APSU scored again to grab a 27-24 lead heading into the half.Â
- Midway through the third frame, TSU turnovers and empty possessions led to APSU going ahead, 38-30.Â
- Another turnover by TSU led to another APSU score that gave the visitors a double-digit lead.
- Heading into the final stanza, Austin Peay led 44-32.Â
- After only scoring eight points in the third quarter, TSU's scoring struggles continued in the fourth.Â
- The Govs advantage swelled to 51-32 following another three-pointer with just under seven minutes remaining.
- TSU trailed the rest of the way.
