Women's Basketball Travels to North Alabama on Tuesday

NASHVILLE — Coming off a week away from the action, the Tennessee State women's basketball team hits the road for the third time this season and the first of three away from Gentry to take on North Alabama on Tuesday evening. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. on ESPN+. 

SERIES INFORMATION: This will be the fifth all-time meeting between TSU and North Alabama on Tuesday. The series is all tied up at two games a piece. TSU took the first meeting during the 1979-80 season with UNA taking the second that season. The two teams went idle until 2015 and then met again in 2019, a year into UNA's transition to D1.

DAVIS DROPS 20: Tatyana Davis dropped 20 points in 31 minutes in a loss to Chattanooga last week. Through four games, Davis leads the Lady Tigers in points (15.8) and has scored in double figures in three of four contests.

SWIPE TO THE LEFT: The Lady Tigers lead the OVC in total blocked shots with 13 through four games for an average of 3.3 per contest. The Tigers are also the top team in steals with 72 (18.0) per contest. Dominique Claytor leads the OVC with 16 steals (4.0 per game). Saniah Parker is third with 14 and Lacy Robins is sixth with 11.

FREE THROWS WIN: The Tigers are shooting 73.5 percent from the free throw line this season. Seven different players are shooting over 60 percent from the charity stripe with Gia Adams leading the squad with 15-of-17 made at the line.

YOU GET A REBOUND... YOU GET A REBOUND: Every active member on the squad has pulled down at least one rebound this season with Claytor leading the group with 6.8 per contest. Sierra McCullough is second with 6.0 per night.
