The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will hit the hard wood for its second game in three days when the Lady Tigers host Morehead State Thursday night in the Gentry Center. The OVC contest is set for a 5 p.m. start.Â

LAST TIME OUT
TSU had a strong fourth quarter but it was not enough to overcome the deficit in a, 58-45, loss to Austin Peay, Tuesday in the Dunn Center. TSU held Austin Peay to just two points for nearly nine minutes in the final quarter and held the Govs to three points total, outscoring APSU 13-3 in the frame. The Lady Tigers, however, were unable to take full advantage of their defensive prowess. TSU cut the deficit to 13 points down the stretch but that as close as the team got.
Andreana Wrister led TSU with 22 points while
Breannah McCullah also reached double-digits with 12 points. Wrightsell finished the game with a team-best seven rebounds and moved into 10thplace on TSU's all-time leading rebounders list.Â

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Morehead State (5-12, 4-9 OVC) is coming off a 66-61 loss to Jacksonville State on Tuesday. The Eagles have lost their last four games and are 10th in the OVC standings.Â

LAST TIME THEY MET
In a game that featured eight ties and eight lead changes, TSU battled down to the final buzzer but could not come away with the win in a, 69-60, loss to Morehead State in Johnson Arena. The game was a back-and-forth battle but MSU closed the game with an 11-4 run in the final three minutes to capture the win.
Jaden Wrightsell posted a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds to go with a game-best five steals.

SERIES INFORMATION
TSU and Morehead State will match-up for the 65th time in the series history with MSU leading, 38-26. The Eagles claimed both meetings last season and have won seven straight over the Lady Tigers. TSU's last win was a 69-66 victory in 2017.
