GAMEDAY
The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will close out the 2020-21 season on Saturday with a match-up at Eastern Kentucky. Game time is slated for 3 p.m. CT in McBrayer Arena. 
 
THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
TSU is looking for its first win of the season on Saturday. The Lady Tigers are coming off a hard fought loss to Morehead State on Thursday. The loss moved TSU to 0-21, 0-19 OVC. 
 
The TSU seniors have been the leaders for the squad. Andreana Wrister is turning in 14.6 ppg while Taylor Roberts also averages 14.6 ppg. Jaden Wrightsell is almost averaging a double-double with 10.1 ppg and 7.0 rpg. Senior Breannah McCullah is the team's 4th leading scorer with 6.2 ppg.
 
TSU is averaging 49.7 points per game while shooting 34.6percent from the field and 23.3 percent from three-point range.
 
The Lady Tigers are led by first year head coach Ty Evans.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The second quarter proved to be the difference for Tennessee State in a hard fought, 60-52, loss to Morehead State a. The opening quarter was a battle but after suffering a six-plus minute scoring drought in the second period, TSU had to play from behind. The Lady Tigers outscored the Eagles 18-13 in the third and nearly matched the opponent point-for-point in the final 10 minutes but it was not enough to get over the hump. Taylor Roberts led TSU in scoring with 18 points and had five steals in the contest. Andreana Wrister had 14 points while Jaden Wrightsell tallied 12 points and a career-high seven steals.
 
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Eastern Kentucky (8-15, 7-12 OVC) is coming off a 65-49 loss to Belmont on Thursday. The loss was the Colonels' third straight. EKU is 9th in the OVC standings. 
 
LAST TIME THEY MET
TSU battled the entire night but saw the game slip away down the stretch in a, 74-62, loss to EKU in the Gentry Center. TSU was trailing by four points when EKU used a 15-2 run to grab a 71-54 lead. The Lady Tigers outscored the Colonels 8-3 in the final two minutes but the rally was not enough to overcome the deficit. Taylor Roberts finished the game with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Andreana Wrister tallied 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds in the contest. TSU shot nearly 40 percent from the field (23-of-58) and knocked down 85.7 percent (12-of-14) from the free-throw line. 
 
SERIES INFORMATION
TSU will face EKU for the 69th time in the series history with the Colonels leading 42-26. EKU claimed the first meeting between the two teams, 74-62, in Gentry Center earlier this month. TSU is 2-2 vs EKU in the last four games.
