Donika Sutton, Tennessee State is looking to its veterans to make its second trip to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament under Sutton. Replacing starting hitters

Khalia Jordan are freshmen
Lauren Hughes and
Maya Hendricks. In Sutton's third season at the helm, TSU placed ninth in the league with a 12-17, 5-11 record.Â
Aniya Williams is the leading returner in kills with 213,
Aria Holmes in blocks with 98, Gina Rivera Ortiz with 490 digs and Sofia Garcia Guerrios in assists with 294. Â
ABOUT MURRAY STATE: The Racers are coming off of a 19-11, 12-4 season and an OVC Tournament run that ended in the semifinals against Southeast Missouri. The team returns seven, two seniors and five newcomers. Replacing its letterwinners that were lost are five freshman, three outside hitters, a middle blocker and libero.
SERIES HISTORY: Murray State leads the all-time series over the Tigers, 48-10. Over the last ten matchups, the Tigers are 4-6. The Tigers' last win over the Racers was Nov. 11, 2013 in Murray. TSU swept MSU 3-0. Murray State is on a six-game win streak over Tennessee State.
UP NEXT: Big Blue will host its first home match of the season, Sunday, Feb. 14 in Kean Hall. Austin Peay will make its way down from Clarksville, Tennessee for a 6 p.m. start.
