Tennessee State will play its first Ohio Valley Conference game since May 5, 2019. The Tigers open OVC play as the host Tennessee Tech for a three-game series. TSU enters the weekend with a 4-4 record after finishing 4-1 at the River City Classic.

During the Tigers game against Grambling on Saturday, Ivory Jones converted 10 assists while playing third base. The total is the most assists by a player in all of NCAA D-I play this season.

Anayah Baker-Rowell is off to a strong start of her career going 12-for-24 (.500) at the plate with two doubles, a triple, three runs batted in and a team high six runs scored.
