NASHVILLE- The new Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball champion Tennessee State University Tigers invite the Nashville community to join them as they watch where they'll be placed in the NCAA "Big Dance". The event is a celebration for the team who won the conference title, Nov.19, 2022. This is the first OVC win for the Tigers since 2008. The event will take place on Sunday November 27 from 6-7:30pm at WKND Hang Suite, 1703 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37207. Head coach Donika Sutton and players will be on hand for autographs, pictures, and interviews.

""It has been my goal to create a culture of hard work, discipline, heart and family," said Sutton. "Your 2022 OVC champions embodied all those characteristics and more. This achievement would not have been possible without the foundation this program was built on. We invite Nashville to come out and celebrate this milestone with us."

The players feature the OVC dig career leader Gina Rivera-Ortiz, Johanna Alcantara who holds the TSU single season record in kills, freshman Gabrielle Johnson and Kennedy Davis who had over 100 blocks on the season. Johnson led the OVC in total blocks and Carla Boudal who is ranked 11^th in the country is service aces.

The event is free and open to the public.
