Men's Tennis Falls to Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Tennessee State men's tennis team fell to Jacksonville State on Sunday afternoon, 1-6, at the JSU Tennis Complex.
 
Pierre Copin secured the lone point on court six as the French native defeated Alijaz Kaplja in straight sets, 7-6 (5), 6-1. The junior transfer from Seward County CC earned his fourth victory of the season, including back-to-back matches.
 
Daniel Perez-Caraballo forced a tiebreaker in the second set on court three, as he fell to Thomas Norwood, 2-6, 6-7 (4).
 
The Gamecocks swept the doubles competition with victories on all three courts. JSU won in straight sets on five of six individual courts to register their fifth win of the year.

UP NEXT: The Tigers will host Christian Brothers on Friday afternoon at approx. 1:00 p.m. as the women begin their competition at 11:00 a.m. at the TSU Tennis Complex, located at Hadley Park.
