NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State men's tennis team defeated Austin Peay for the first time in school history.
Three separate Tigers logged straight set victories, while
Diego Britt-Alvarez and
Daniel Perez-Caraballo grinded out three-set wins. On court six,
Pierre Copin efficiently owned Thiago Nogueira. 6-3, 6-4. On court one,
Leandros Misdrachis topped Frederi Schlossmann, 7-6 (5), 6-4, in the premier matchup. On court four,
Nil Moinet swept Tom Bolton, 6-3, 6-4.
TSU dropped the doubles competition after falling on courts one and three.
