NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State softball team will travel to Oxford, Mississippi for a doubleheader against Ole Miss on Tuesday afternoon.

About the Tigers: Tennessee State will look to snap a six-game losing streak after SIUE swept the Tigers this past weekend. TSU's scored four runs over the six-game skid.
Peyton Fointno's started in all 34 games and leads the team with 25 hits.
Fointno, a sophomore from Lawrenceville, Georgia, owns the team lead in RBI (14) and tied for the team-best in doubles (7), triples (1) and hit-by-pitches (3). In terms of the OVC, the first baseman is tied at the top in sacrifice bunts (6) and tied for ninth in doubles.
Maggie Klug totaled five hits in the last week, while
Alyssi Drayton registered her first multi-hit game of her career against SIUE on Sunday.
Caitlyn Manus leads the team in the circle with a 3.20 ERA and seven complete games.
Manus, a freshman from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, ranks sixth in the conference with 86 innings pitched.
About the Rebels: Ole Miss dropped the weekend series against No. 9 Arkansas, losing two of three at home. OM enters the matchup on a two-game losing streak, being outscored 14-3 over the last two games. In 2022, the Rebels have played two teams from the OVC – defeating UT Martin (8-3) on March 29 and SEMO (7-4) on March 2. Tate Whitley leads the team with 53 hits (.461 batting average) and triples (2), while Bre Roper leads Ole Miss in doubles (7), RBI (24), walks (21) and stolen bases (8-for-9). The Rebels own a 14-2 record at home in 2022; in the three previous seasons, OM's dominated on campus with a 57-8 record since 2019.
