OXFORD, Miss. – Playing in two tough matches against Ole Miss on the day, the Tennessee State men's tennis team showed lots of fight despite dropping both matches against the Rebels. TSU lost 7-0 in both matches to move to 1-2 on the year.
OLE MISS 7, TSU 0
The Tigers were unable to get a win in doubles play as Ole Miss swept all three matches to win the doubles point. The doubles duo of
Nicholas Adamec and
Taj Hibbert played a close match falling 6-4 in No. 2 doubles. The doubles team of
Daniel Caraballo/
Diego Britt-Alvarez and
Pierre Copin/
Nil Moinet both lost 6-2.
Pierre Copin played well for TSU in the No. 5 singles as he fell 6-4, 6-4.
Taj Hibbert fell 6-3, 6-1 in No. 3 singles, while
Diego Britt-Alvarez fell 6-3, 6-0 in No. singles. Adamec fell 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 6 singles.

Much like the first match of the day, the Rebels got off to a hot start in doubles play, sweeping TSU to earn the doubles point.
Pierre Copin and
Nil Moinet had a strong performance in the No. 2 doubles but ended us just getting edged 7-6.
Taj Hibbert showed great fight in the No. 4 singles as he won his second set 6-4 after falling 7-6 in his first set. Hibbert would fall 1-0 on the tiebreaker in the third set. Copin was just edged in No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-4.

TSU will be back in action tomorrow evening as they are set to take on Mississippi State. Action from Starkville, Miss., is slated to begin at 5:00 p.m.
