OPENING TIP — The Tennessee State women's basketball team will close the 2023 calendar year by hosting Little Rock inside the Gentry Center tomorrow afternoon. The Lady Tigers will be in search of their first OVC win, while LR won their OVC opener on Thursday against Tennessee Tech.

SERIES INFORMATION: This will be just the third-ever matchup between TSU and LR. The two teams first met in December of 2002 with the Trojans taking the first matchup. LR won both games last year in their first season as OVC members.

The transfer from Kansas City has 113 points on the year and leads the Tigers with 11.3 ppg. Eboni Williams (98), Caitlin Anderson (91), and Zyion Shannon (90) will all look to hit the 100-point mark soon.
 
UNDER PRESSURE: The Lady Tigers continue to pace the league in total turnovers and turnovers forced per game. TSU leads the OVC with 22.9 forced turnovers per game, while their 252 forced turnovers also sit atop the league standings. The Tigers forced 27 turnovers against UTM while just turning the ball over 13 times.
