Jr. Clay will have one more opportunity to represent the Tigers, as he is set to play in the HBCU All-Star game this weekend in Houston.
Clay will have an opportunity to showcase his skills alongside some of the best HBCU players in the country during this year's 2
nd annual event. The All-Star game will feature players from the four Historically Black Athletic Conferences including the MEAC & SIAC versus players from the SWACC and CIAA, along with Tennessee State, Hampton, and North Carolina A&T.
The TSU superstar who led the Ohio Valley Conference in both scoring (18.8 ppg) and assists (5.6 apg) will be on team Barnett, who is coached by Benjy Taylor from Tuskegee, and Kenneth Blakeney from Howard.
Clay became the first player in OVC history to be named to five All-OVC teams. The Chattanooga native transferred to TSU for his final year of eligibility after having a stellar career at Tennessee Tech.
The game will be played at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2 at H&PE Arena on the campus of Texas Southern University. The game will be televised on CBS.
