NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State women's tennis dropped a heartbreaker on Sunday afternoon as they were just edged 4-3 by Eastern Illinois at Hadley Park. The loss moves the Tigers to 3-18 (0-3 OVC) for the spring.
TSU started off the match strong as they took the doubles point from EIU to grab the early 1-0 lead.

Naomi Von Bose picked up a 6-4 win in the No. 1 doubles spot, while

Aroa Arrieta Castillo claimed a 6-3 win at line three to give TSU the doubles point.
The Tigers showed lots of fight in the singles portion of play, as they picked up two wins. Mdlulwa showed no signs of struggle in the No. 1 spot as she won 6-2, 6-3. Koleva put together a solid performance in the No. 3 spot as she laid claim to a 6-4, 6-0 win.
Franka Sindicic played a close match at line six, as she fell 5-7, 4-6. Von Bose lost 3-6, 4-6 in the No. 2 position, while
Jovana Nikolic lost 1-6, 1-6 at line four. Castillo lost 2-6, 1-6 at line five.
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, April 8, as they are set to head to Saint Charles, Mo., to take on Lindenwood.
