RICHMOND, Ky. – The Tennessee State women's tennis team hit the road to Kentucky on Friday for an afternoon matchup with Eastern Kentucky. This marked the third match of the season for TSU as they fell 6-1 to the Colonels.

Warona Mdlulwa picked up a 7-6 set win in the #1 doubles. EKU would claim wins at #2 and #3 to lead 1-0 after doubles play.
The Lady Tigers were however able to put a point on the board as Mdlulwa carried her strong play into singles, picking up a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 win in the No. 3 singles slot.
Francisca Gomez-Weiss saw her match in the No. 4 singles go three sets as she fell 6-3, 2-6, 1-6.
The women will host their first home match of the season tomorrow afternoon as they will welcome Lipscomb to Hadley Park for a 1:00 p.m. match.
