Women's Basketball Eyes First Road Win at Little Rock

OPENING TIP — The Tennessee State women's basketball team will look to pick up its first road win of the season with just two games left on the regular season schedule. The Lady Tigers will take on Little Rock tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. followed by UT Martin on Saturday afternoon.

The Matchup: Tennessee State (9-17, 6-10 OVC) vs. Little Rock (10-17, 9-7 OVC)

SERIES INFORMATION: This will be the 4th all-time matchup between TSU and LR. TSU won its first game in the series this past December with an 83-78 OT win over the Trojans. Little Rock leads the series 2-1. Caitlin Anderson led TSU with 17 points in the win.

10: The number of consecutive games that Zyion Shannon has scored double-digit points in. The Smyrna product finished with 10 points against SIUE to keep the streak alive. She is averaging 16.7 ppg during this 10-game stretch.
 
16: The number of points that Saniah Parker finished with against SIUE. Parker's 16 points mark a new season-high for the junior guard.
 
SIX FOR SANAA': Sanaa' St. Andrew won her sixth OVC weekly award this past week after she was named the OVC Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday. St. Andre averaged 20.5 ppg for two games last week, including a 24-point outing against SIUE. She has been named the Newcomer of the Week five times and the Player of the Week once.
 
LEAVING HER MARK: After being honored for Senior Day and given her 1,000th career point ball, Eboni Williams closed out her time in the Gentry Center in the best way possible. The Chattanooga transfer logged her first double-double of the season as she finished with 14 points and 11 boards while matching her season high in minutes with 33.
