Women's Basketball Looks to Bounce Back After Double OT Loss

OPENING TIP — The Tennessee State women's basketball team will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon as they will take on SEMO after falling in a double overtime thriller to Lindenwood on Thursday night.

The Matchup: Tennessee State (7-14, 4-7 OVC) vs. SEMO (6-16, 3-8 OVC)
Date/Time: Saturday, February 10 at 1:30 PM CT
Location: Show-Me Center || Cape Girardeau, Mo.   
TV: ESPN+
 
SERIES INFORMATION: This will be the 58th all-time meeting between TSU and SEMO. The Redhawks took down the Lady Tigers twice last season to move to 34-23 against TSU. This will be the only contest between the two this season.
 
LWU NUMBERS AND NOTES
 
32: The number of points that Zyion Shannon scored against Lindenwood. Shannon's 32-point performance marked a new career-high for the sophomore guard. This marked her 5th straight game of scoring 10+ points, all of which have been off the bench. Her 10.0 ppg is second on the team.
 
302: Sanaa' St. Andre became the first Lady Tiger to reach 300 points this season after finishing with eight points in last night's game. The Kansas City transfer just needs two more points to reach 700 for her career. Her 302 points this season is a new season high, after scoring 253 last year.
 
GO UP AND GRAB IT: Lyric Cole logged her sixth career double-double last night as she logged 13 points and 14 rebounds. Cole has recorded two double-doubles this season after finishing with 14 and 14 last Thursday. The junior is second on the team with 83 boards in just 11 games. Her 7.5 rebounds per game is a team-high.
 
DISH NETWORK: Caitlin Anderson matched her season-high with seven assists in last night's loss. Anderson leads the team with 68 helpers, which ranks 9th in the OVC.
