DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Tennessee State women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon after taking down Bethune Cookman 4-3 on the road in Florida.
The Tigers started the match off hot, picking up three wins in the doubles portion of play to earn the first point.

Daniela Koleva picked up a 6-0 win in the No. 2 doubles spot, followed by

Natalie Walsh winning 6-1 at No. 3.

Louise Ratiu closed out doubles play by picking up a 6-3 win at No. 1.
The bottom of TSU's lineup had a solid showing in single play as 4-6 picked up victories.
Taylor Ellis won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 to give TSU its second point of the day.
Francisca Gomez-Weiss picked up the next point after defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-2.
Claudia Murdasanu picked up the final win with a 6-1, 6-3 victor at no. 5.
The Tigers will be back in action on March 15 as they will host UT Southern and Western Illinois.
