NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State volleyball program, under the leadership of head coach Donika Sutton, has announced its summer camp dates for 2024, offering a range of opportunities for aspiring athletes to be coached by coach Sutton, her staff, and players.
The highlight of the lineup is the 2024 Elite Camp, scheduled to run from July 19th to July 20th at Kean Hall. Tailored for female athletes aged 15 to 18, this camp promises advanced and college-level training. Sessions will span from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on both days, with check-in beginning at 7:45 am. Participants can expect focused individual skill sessions, culminating in competitive play.
For younger enthusiasts, the 2024 Little Cubs Camp, set for July 16th to July 17th at Kean Hall Gym, offers a chance for girls aged 6 to 12 to develop fundamental skills through engaging games designed for their age group. Like the Elite Camp, sessions will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm each day, with check-in starting at 7:45 am.
The 2024 Basic Skills Camp, slated for July 12th to July 13th at Kean Hall Gym, caters to girls aged 13 to 18. Participants will focus on honing essential skills in defense, attacking, setting, blocking, and serving. The camp will follow the same schedule as the other sessions, with check-in beginning at 7:45 am.
In addition to these camps, the program will host the 2024 Collegiate Prospect Clinic on June 7th, providing elite players aged 15 to 18 with specialized training geared toward preparing them for collegiate-level competition. This clinic will take place from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with check-in starting at 7:00 am.
