Sports Medicine Hosts Sold-Out Dry Needling Course

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State Sports Medicine Department successfully hosted a sold-out Dry Needling Course at the Gentry Center this past Friday through Sunday. The event attracted over 40 medical professionals, highlighting the growing interest and importance of advanced treatment methods in sports medicine.

The three-day course was designed to develop the knowledge, safety, and clinical skills required to effectively assess and deliver dry-needling treatment for painful neuromuscular conditions. It featured interactive lectures and hands-on labs, providing attendees with comprehensive training and practical experience.

Trevor Searcy, TSU's Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine, and Assistant Athletic Trainer Jeremy Hall participated in the three-day event.

"Hosting this course is huge for TSU Sports Medicine! Having over 40 medical professionals on our campus helps expand our brand and secures our place as a leader in the field of sports medicine," said Searcy.
