TUCSON, ARIZ. — The Tennessee State volleyball team lost to the Boise State Broncos in three sets (20-25, 17-25, 14-25) Saturday at McKale Center.
The non-conference loss dropped Tennessee State to 0-1 on the season.
Celestial Miller finished with 14 kills on the day to lead the Lady Tigers attack. got 16 digs from Hadley Pride to lead them defensively.
How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Tigers fell behind early, losing the first set 25-20. Tennessee State trailed by as many as six points as Boise State never gave up the lead in a set that was tied up just once before the Broncos took control.
SET 2 | Tennessee State then dropped set two 25-17 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Lady Tigers fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Boise State finished off the sweep with a third-set win. The Lady Tigers lost a tough set 25-14. Tennessee State trailed by as many as 12 points as Boise State grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was tied up four times before the Broncos took over the lead.
