NASHVILLE – Tennessee State women's basketball makes the short trip across town for a Sunday matinee matchup at Lipscomb inside Allen Arena. The Tigers enter the contest having shown notable growth on both ends of the floor, coming off a balanced performance against William & Mary on Friday.

TSU continues to find its rhythm through improved ball pressure, rebounding, and a more steady scoring balance. Aaniya Webb leads the team at 13.0 points per game and added 12 points and four rebounds against William & Mary, continuing to drive TSU's offensive production. Somah Kamara remains a key two-way presence, averaging 10.2 points and a team-high 18 steals, while adding seven points and two assists in Friday's win.

Freshman forward Sadie Sanchez continues to emerge as a reliable scoring option, posting 10 points and four rebounds against the Tribe and averaging 7.0 points through her first three games. In the paint, Shelby Martin anchors TSU with 6.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, adding six points and a block on Friday.

TSU's front-court depth continues to strengthen with contributions from Kaliyah Montoya (5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds), Kiki Roberts (7.0 rebounds), and Brianna Wooldridge (3.0 points, 2.2 rebounds). Additional support from Zoe Young, Icesis Thomas, and Lailah Lancaster has helped stabilize the rotation and provide productive minutes off the bench.

Lipscomb enters the matchup with a balanced offensive approach featuring ball movement, spacing, and perimeter shooting. TSU will look to counter with defensive pressure, rebounding control, and continued growth in offensive efficiency as non-conference play continues.
