NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State volleyball team begins a busy week at Kean Hall, hosting Alabama A&M on Wednesday night before welcoming Indiana State, Idaho, and Chattanooga for the annual Tiger Invitational, which runs Thursday through Saturday. The tournament gives the Tigers three nonconference tests ahead of Ohio Valley Conference play, which begins next week as part of an eight-match homestand.
Tickets for the Tiger Invitational are $10 per day or $35 for an all-session tournament pass, with kids 5 and under free.

Tigers to Watch

Aliyah Harris — Leads the Tigers with 75 kills through the first seven matches, averaging more than 3.0 per set. The junior outside hitter has posted double-digit kills in four matches this season.

Sagaia Reilly — The freshman setter has made an immediate impact with 180 assists, averaging 7.2 per set. She recorded a season-high 36 assists in the win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Sydni Poston — TSU's libero has anchored the back row with 95 digs, good for 3.8 per set. She notched a season-best 21 digs against Belmont.

Brie Blevins — Provides balance to the Tigers' attack with 42 kills and 11 total blocks. She finished with a season-high 10 kills in the Belmont Invitational.

Maygan Miller-Garcia — A force at the net with 18 total blocks on the season, including six solo. The junior middle blocker has also chipped in 35 kills, giving the Tigers a reliable presence both offensively and defensively.
UP NEXT: TSU hosts former OVC rival Austin Peay on Tuesday, Sept. 23, before opening conference play against SIUE (Sept. 26-27).
