NASHVILLE – Tennessee State women's basketball closes out its home schedule with two games this week. Thursday as the Lady Tigers host the Lindenwood Lions inside the Gentry Center. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. CT in Ohio Valley Conference action.
The contest marks the second to last home game of the 2025–26 season for Tennessee State, as the Lady Tigers look to defend home court and build momentum heading into the final stretch of conference play. Lindenwood enters the match-up battling for position in the OVC standings, setting the stage for a competitive conference showdown in Nashville.
LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee State is coming off a road contest at Morehead State on Saturday afternoon.
Somah Kamara led the Lady Tigers with 18 points off the bench, providing a spark offensively, while Amiyah Ferguson added 11 points and knocked down three three-pointers. Tennessee State also found success at the free-throw line, converting 16 attempts, and received 20 points from the bench in the effort.
SERIES HISTORY
Thursday's match-up marks the sixth all-time meeting between Tennessee State and Lindenwood. The Lions hold a 4–2 advantage in the series, which dates back to the 2022–23 season.
The Lady Tigers claimed a memorable 83–80 home victory during the 2023–24 season, while the teams have traded road wins throughout the short series history. Tennessee State will look to add another home win on Thursday and close the season series on a positive note in its final appearance at the Gentry Center this season.
